Summary

Prepares the trainee for a professional career in Operational Meteorology through simulations and on-the-job training (OJT).

Minimum Entry Requirements

The course is intended for holders of BSc. degrees in Meteorology.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course the trainees will be able to demonstrate the requisite competencies for operational forecasters. They will thus be able to; analyse and monitor the weather situation, forecast meteorological phenomena, warn of hazardous
phenomena, ensure quality of meteorological information and communicate meteorological information to users.
