Summary

Equips the trainee with knowledge, skills and competencies to work as an Advanced-level Meteorological Technician with prospects to work in weather /climate/environmental monitoring, forecasting, research, and training.

Minimum Entry Requirements

 

A-level certificate with mean grade C (or equivalent) and credits in English, Mathematics and Physics/Physical Science or a Middle Meteorological Technicians Certificate (WMO Class III)

Learning Outcomes

The training provides the student with the skills and knowledge contained in the Basic Instruction Package for Meteorological Technicians (BIP-MT). It further equips the trainee with the requisite demonstrable competencies to work as a Meteorological Technician.
