      Welcome to the 'Essentials of Management 2026-2027' application area. Here you can find out more about the course and apply online.

      • This course is for:

      Middle level managers of NMHS's in developing countries. It is also for people who are not currently managers but want to develop their understanding of the essentials of management. 

      • Course Aims:

      The aim of the course is to develop your management skills so that you can effectively lead your team to achieve your organisation’s goals.

      The course materials and assignments will also provide a useful insight to the principles of management for those staff who do not currently hold a management position, providing a foundation for future career development.

      • Course timetable:

      HOW TO APPLY

      Please complete the application form below by Friday 2nd October 2026.  

      There will be 60 places on the 2026-27 course. The course team will evaluate all applications carefully and inform successful candidates of their acceptance by Monday 12th October 2026.

      Please note, to access the application form you will need to be logged in to your Moodle account (guest access is not enabled).  If you have not yet created an account, please first click 'Create account' in the top right area of the screen in the 'log-in' area.

      If you are interested in doing this course in the future but are not able to commit the time at the moment, you can still register you interest in future Management by e-learning courses.  To do that please return to the Home page and click on the "Management by e-learning - information portal".  Then click on the link to "Register your interest for future Management by e-learning courses"  and fill in your details.  We can then contact you when the next course runs.
