The Met Office, through UK contributions to the World Meteorological Organisation’s Voluntary Cooperation Programme (VCP), is working to upgrade TV weather studios, located at National Meteorological Services (NMSs) across Africa.

There have been several significant technological advances in the media world in the last few years.  With digital television developments, ‘widescreen’ and high definition broadcasts are becoming increasingly commonplace across the globe. The studio upgrades will enable NMSs to continue to supply high quality broadcasts that provide essential early warning of hazardous weather over national TV networks.

To obtain the self-enrolment key to this VCP HD Media Studio section, you will first need to create a Moodle account.

Then please send an e-mail headed 'VCP HD Media Studio - Moodle Enrolment Key Request' to international@metoffice.gov.uk

(Please note this area is for studios using the WeatherEyePC software.  This site is no longer actively updated, please refer instead to the 'Met Office Full HD Media' area for up-to-date information)
