Dear Climsoft Technical Advisory Group members,
Hope this finds you well.
I am pleased to share with you the list of potential developers of climsoft selected to attend the November climsoft developers workshop, scheduled to take place in Kenya, from 02nd to 13th November 2015 (2 weeks).
The choice of attendees from the wider development pool who applied is based on their skills in programming and past experience in software development and on previous discussions (and proposals by the lead developers). others developers who applied to contribute or to join climsoft development team will be considered in future workshops.
However, the two (2) proposed potential developers from African Maths Initiative(AMI), Maseno University (Kenya) was selected because they attended the previous Climsoft development workshop and showed their interest and commitment to the development process. They are also working on Climate Object to develop climsoft products using R.
- Fish Modimoopelo (Boswana Met);
- Victor Ralenkoane (Lesotho Met);
- David Waitolo (Zambia Met);
- Maxwell Fundi and John Lunalo (from AMI, Maseno University);
- One (1) person to be nominated by TAG members.
However, as Climsoft Technical Advisory Group members you are kindly requested to nominate one participant from West Africa among 6 who applied to join the development team by considering his skills and experience in programming and software development and working skills in English (writing and speaking) and inform me not later that Tuesdasy,15th September 2015.
